Monsters of Myth and Legend - Phoenix

Here it is, the mythological bird of Arabian legend, the PHOENIX. This brilliantly-colored bird is said to possess eternal life. Legend has it that every time it died, it would rise again from its own ashes. It had a most beautiful song of any other animal, and could fly farther and faster than any other bird. Even though the Phoenix looked fierce, sometimes it was so gentle that it wouldn't kill or crush any living thing such as fruit or flowers.
